Job Title: ELEMENTARY TEACHER GRADE 3 DUAL LANGUAGE

 

Responsible for engaging Elementary 3rd Grade students in a dual language, multicultural classroom with a strong emphasis in Spanish. Plan for, teach, and facilitate learning for all students. Create a positive learning environment conducive to learning. Maintain academic progress, records, and discipline for students. Responsible for developing students' cognitive capacity and respect for learning and positively fostering students' self-esteem. Work with and understand a diverse student population, establishing a cooperative relationship with all assigned students. Plan for and guide the learning process to help students achieve the program objectives. Implement useful diagnostic and progress assessment measures to assist students with the learning process. Select and use effective instructional methods and learning materials to develop students’ cognitive capacity, integrating leadership, technology, and communication into the curriculum. Maintain open lines of communication with students' parents, guardians, and other staff members. Engage in professional growth activities through an ongoing program of job related knowledge and skill development. Complete all administrative tasks associated with the position, including preparing and grading homework and tests, maintaining grade records, communicating with school administration. Work collaboratively to achieve the overall purpose of the school's program and to support the District's vision, aim, and goals. Requires Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Education or closely related field from an accredited college or university. Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate and an endorsement in elementary K-6.
